We have just had new labels printed for our Body Treat. Finally, the product range looks like a coordinated brand, something it has failed at in the past.

Since Scent Trail started to sell products, the packaging has gone through a huge transformation and when I look at back at some of the label incarnations I shudder with horror. It is very hard to build a brand image without a clear idea of what you want that brand to look like. Unless you have the budget to hire a professional to create a brand image for you, it is an organic process of trial and error (mainly error in my case).

We had a logo designed a while ago, and it was not until we did that that we could visualise how the product labels would look. It was definitely money well spent, it was just a shame I had to go the USA to get it designed because I either could not find any one in the UK, or the people I did find did not understand the brief. We change the logo colour to suit the product fragrance. Here is the unfragranced version of the Body Treat all ready to rock and roll.

Now to sort out the packaging for the soap. Currently, the boxes are handmade which is time consuming and expensive even without working out labour costs. By the time we pay for the card and the labels it costs a fortune, so we are looking at other options. I may have found a local company that will be able to print cigar bands at a reasonably price and we are looking at what to wrap/pack the soap in. All will be revealed, once we have made a decision of course!
